On a beautiful Querétaro afternoon, we visited the Cerro Campanas park for the first time in a couple of years. Lois remembered that green parrots nest there, and this time she was able to capture some nice photos of them, in the trees of the park. Cerro is "Hill" and this is the famous hill where battles were fought and Emperor Maximillian and his two Mexican generals were executed in 1867. The Austrians later built a chapel on the spot in honor of Maximilian. It was such a beautiful day that quinceañeras and their courts of escorts were out with photographers getting their beauty preserved forever. And we happened on a very happy wedding party as well.
